"Blood in the Lagoon" Movie featuring Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde gets release date





produced by Jerry Padney, a graduate of Film and TV production in Oklahoma State University and the University of Houston, the movie was directed by Teco Benson.


 After months of anticipation, the star-studded Nollywood movie, "Blood in the Lagoon" is set to storm cinemas nationwide on Friday, July 22, 2016.


To be distributed by Film One Distributions, the movie features star actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Okey Uzoeshi, Eddie Ugboma, Ufuoma McDermott, Hakeem Rahman, Akin Lewis and Bobby Michaels.
Others in the movie include Charles Okocha, Cassandra Odita, Phil Simmons, Jim Roach, Ken Odurukwe, Belinda Effah, Alex Ayalogu and Sotonye Green.



Born into abject poverty and thrust deep into to the drudgery fate has dealt him, George Dibiya (Okey Uzoeshi)ekes out a living in the treacherous murky waters of the waste deluged Lagos Lagoon. Just like thousands more kids in the many slums of Nigeria, his life story is already written and sealed by fate, even before he came into the world. And this is not of his making. The chances of getting any education and, maybe clawing his way out of the situation is zero to unlikely, at best.

But after the murder of his brother, George sets out to, not allow his brothers dream die. Along the way, he gets entangled with the stunningly beautiful Scarlet (Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde) "Blood in the Lagoon" is an emotionally charged and thought provoking movie that will keep you glued to your seat till the very end.
 Speaking on the movie, Benson said, “Blood in the Lagoon” is a rags-to-riches tale with a different twist that is sure to wrench the hearts of all viewers.  Again, our cast members are highly talented stars with great abilities in carrying a role and interpreting the characters. “Blood in the Lagoon” will appeal to all viewers of African movies.”
