Dangers Of Drug Abuse
Cases
of drug over usage/misuse and abuse has been a major development among youths
and adults today across the world. Certain drugs are been used beyond the prescribed
dosage which clearly isn’t healthy and poses a threat to livelihood and
soundness of health.
We
will take a look at three drugs that has been abused lately due to reasons
beyond medical scopes, reasons such as euphoria, mellowness, sense of well-being
and lack of inhibition.
Drugs
such as tramadol, codeine, rophypnol etc.

Tramadol
Medically
used for types of pain and as prescribed by a physician for proper health care.
Tramadol is widely abused by men for
sexual based activities and to achieve mellowness and worsens as they continue
to take in more without proper medical guide. The abuse of tramadol leads to certain
adverse health that ranges from undesired effects to difficulty in breathing.
Abuse of tramadol results to the following:
Dizziness,
weakness, sleepiness, headache, vomiting, swelling of the face and throat, diarrhea,
heart burn etc. This effects endangers the health of the abusers and probably
leads to death if control measures aren’t in place.
Codeine
Medically
codeine is used to treat mild-to-moderate levels of pain, manage pesky cough
and occasional treat gastrointestinal problems and as prescribed by a
physician.
The
abuse of codeine is extremely devastating to health, as it has psychological, behavioral, physical
and mood symptoms and could transform to a into severe health issue in long
term such as;
Liver
damage, kidney damage, increase in sensitivity of pain, depression, cold and
claiming of skin, homeliness, seizures, coma, bipolar disorder and death if not
handled expertly.
Rophypnol(date-rape-drug)
Medically
rophypnol is a short term treatment for insomnia, as a per-medication in
surgical procedures for inducing anesthesia. The abuse of rophypnol causes
partial amnesia, individual are unable to remember certain events under its
effects and are used in sever rape cases. It’s abuse causes
Dizziness,
loss of motor control, lack of coordination, slurred speech, confusion and
gastrointestinal disturbance.
This
drug and it’s abuse can cause a lot more if not controlled and could lead to
death due due to excessive damages to the body.
